3GAbELS Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to the 3GAbELS website, learning platform and related services (“3GAbELS” or the “Platform”).

3GAbELS is operated by UE 3G ABACUS PTE. LTD. (UEN: 201203995Z) (“we”, “us” or “our”).

By registering for, accessing or using 3GAbELS, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. About 3GAbELS

3GAbELS is an online learning and assessment platform for students enrolled with participating 3G Abacus instructors or centres.

The Platform may provide:

• Exercises and practice materials;
• Digital worksheets;
• Tests and assessments;
• Results and progress records;
• Grading examination and competition features;
• Free learning content; and
• Additional content and features available through Premium Membership.

Access to some features may depend on the student’s enrolment, course level, assigned instructor or centre, or Premium Membership status.

2. Registration and Accounts

Users must provide accurate and current information when registering.

We may verify a student’s registration with the relevant instructor or centre. We may reject, suspend or close an account if we cannot verify the student’s enrolment or if inaccurate or misleading information is provided.

You must:

• Use only your own account;
• Keep your Account ID and password confidential;
• Not share, sell or transfer your account; and
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

An instructor or centre may help create, verify or administer a student account.

Where consent or authorisation from a parent or guardian is required, the person creating or approving the account must confirm that they have authority to do so.

3. Free Access and Premium Membership

Eligible students may use the basic features of 3GAbELS without an additional platform fee.

Users may upgrade their account to Premium Membership to access additional exercises, content and worksheet features.

The price, access period and included features will be shown before purchase.

Unless otherwise stated, Premium Membership:

• Lasts for a fixed period;
• Does not renew automatically;
• Ends without further charges; and
• Requires a new purchase to continue.

Premium Membership is for one account only and cannot be shared or transferred.

4. Payments and Refunds

Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider. Premium access begins once payment is confirmed and the account is upgraded.

The membership period continues whether or not the Premium features are used.

Fees are non-refundable once Premium access is activated. If we fail to deliver the purchased Premium access, we will provide a suitable remedy, which may include an extension or refund.

5. Learning, Examinations and Competitions

3GAbELS supports learning, practice, assessments, grading examinations and competitions.

We do not guarantee:

• Any particular improvement;
• Any examination or competition result;
• Any grade, ranking or award; or
• Any other academic outcome.

Users must complete exercises, examinations and competitions honestly and follow the applicable rules.

Unless expressly permitted, users must not:

• Ask another person to complete an assessment for them;
• Give or receive unauthorised assistance;
• Copy, record or distribute questions or answers;
• Use unauthorised materials, software or automated tools; or
• Manipulate results or progress records.

We may review or invalidate a result where we reasonably suspect an error, technical problem, irregular activity or breach of these Terms.

Separate event rules may apply to a particular grading examination or competition.

6. Acceptable Use

You may use 3GAbELS only for lawful, personal and educational purposes.

You must not:

• Copy, record, distribute, sell or share our learning materials without permission;
• Share Premium content with another person;
• Access or attempt to access another user’s account;
• Bypass security or Premium Membership controls;
• Introduce harmful code;
• Extract Platform data using automated means;
• Disrupt the Platform; or
• Use the Platform commercially without our written approval.

7. Intellectual Property

3GAbELS and its software, exercises, questions, worksheets, videos, graphics, designs, branding and learning materials are owned by or licensed to UE 3G ABACUS PTE. LTD.

We give eligible users a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use these materials for educational purposes.

No ownership rights are transferred to users. Our content must not be copied, recorded, adapted, published, sold or distributed unless we give written permission.

8. Platform Availability

We aim to keep 3GAbELS reasonably available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

The Platform may be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, security work, technical problems or events outside our reasonable control.

We may update or change features and content. Where practicable, we will notify users of a material change affecting a current Premium Membership, grading examination or competition.

9. Suspension and Account Closure

We may restrict, suspend or close an account if:

• These Terms are breached;
• The account is used unlawfully or fraudulently;
• Account or payment information is inaccurate;
• Payment is cancelled or reversed;
• The user is no longer eligible through an instructor or centre;
• Action is reasonably needed to protect users or the Platform; or
• We are required to act by law.

Users may request account closure by emailing 3gabels@3gabacus.com.

Account closure does not automatically entitle the user to a refund or require immediate deletion of records that we reasonably need for educational, examination, competition, business or legal purposes.

10. Responsibility and Liability

You are responsible for protecting your login details and for information submitted through your account.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for:

• Unauthorised access caused by a user’s failure to protect login details;
• Incorrect information supplied by a user;
• Internet, device or third-party service failures outside our reasonable control;
• Use of 3GAbELS contrary to these Terms; or
• Failure to achieve a particular learning, examination or competition result.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is explained in the 3GAbELS Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms to reflect changes to 3GAbELS, our practices or applicable law.

The latest version will be published with a new effective date. Where a change is material, we may notify users through 3GAbELS, by email or through the relevant instructor or centre.

13. Singapore Law

These Terms are governed by Singapore law.

Before beginning formal proceedings, the parties should try in good faith to resolve the matter directly. Subject to applicable law, disputes will be handled by the courts of Singapore.
